Anticompetitive agreements aimed at infringing the interests of consumers and extract unfair profits are recognized as «the main evil of competition" and prohibited in most countries. Purpose of the article — the classification of anticompetitive agreements. Reviewed the main types of anticompetitive agreements, which are illustrated by examples of cases of violations of the antitrust laws.

Teaching materials

The article continues series of studying-methodical materials for «Theory of industrial markets» course. This publication presents materials which devote to the analysis such as the influence of the innovative activity of participants on the market structure, and on the contrary the influence of market structure on the innovative activity of companies. In this article there are the tasks devoted to the problems which illustrate how the innovative activity is developing.

The theory of competition

The competition is one of the most fundamental market institutions. The proper interpretation of the competition institute and price competition mechanism categories has been presented. The article determines, too, the processes of the price competition formation, operation, implementation and management accordingly to the life cycle stages. The value of this study consists in the develop¬ment of competition and firm institutional theories which are the very actual areas of the economy science.

This publication is a detailed report of the round table discussion «Competition — a controversial ideal» organized by the Higher School of Economics and the Academy of National Economy under the Government of the Russian Federation in December 20, 2010. The round table were made by experts in the field of social and moral philosophy, economic sociol¬ogy, law and economics of industrial markets. At the round table were discussed various aspects of understanding the nature and content of the phenomenon of competition, its justification as a social phenomenon, and other issues of an interdisciplinary theory of competition.

Competitiveness of business

Paper is devoted to providing consulting support in the area of HR-management to small busi¬nesses and its impact on their competitiveness as employers in the labor market. Author formulates competitive advantages, which provides small business an attractive image in the labor market and identifies the necessary reputation characteristics. Author substantiated the relevance of consult¬ing services in the field of HR-management for this category of employers. Article examines two strategic approaches to the organization of interaction between small businesses and consulting centers. Author proposed Criteria for selecting a small business strategic approach in the market for consulting services.

Article reveals fundamental approaches to regulation and development of competition in small forms of entrepreneurship, revealed three directions of governmental competition policy in regard to small business. The author calls a small forms of entrepreneurship one of the main beneficiaries of the intense com¬petition, substantiates governmental support for small business, carried out on transparent criteria of competitiveness, as a single direction of competition policy.
