Fighting with cartels in Russia

In this article a brief historical overview of presence of the cartels in Russian legislation is given. Rus¬sia is among those countries where the government already in the middle of the XIX century realized clear public danger of anticompetitive agreements and the need to fight with this phenomenon. At the present stage the antitrust law including the prohibition of anti-competitive agreements is one of the most dynamically developing branches of Russian law.

Classification of anticompetitive agreements in antitrust laws of the Russian federation

Anticompetitive agreements aimed at infringing the interests of consumers and extract unfair profits are recognized as «the main evil of competition" and prohibited in most countries. Purpose of the article — the classification of anticompetitive agreements. Reviewed the main types of anticompetitive agreements, which are illustrated by examples of cases of violations of the antitrust laws.
