Competitive Russia

The main objective of the following article is to analyze the competitiveness of Russian intermediaries acting in the sphere of international business. In order to achieve the specified objective the author carries out SWOT analysis and determines strong and week points of Russian intermediaries in international business as well as opportunities and threats for the development of intermediation in Russia. Conclusions made by the author are illustrated by examples of Russian intermediaries’ activity in the sphere of international business.

In this article author analyzes a foreign policy in the sphere of energy-saving. Author describes the main problems of high costs of energy resources per GDP unit, and recommends a complex of measures for energy efficiency, that can increase in national economics.

The article deals with the problematic issues arising from Russia’s accession to the WTO, in particular, the competitive advantage for our state as a whole and the participating countries, as well as possible threats to economic security of the Russian Federation, the state of the forest industry and the problems of forestry enterprises (TIC). The article describes the strategic «duality» of russian hockey clubs, reflecting combination of characteristics for both type: business and social and sports organizations. The framework of the «duality» forms the criteria for competitiveness of strategic club management: the quality of management, the quality of services and the ability to innovate, interact with sources of financing, the ability to attract, develop high quality human resources, corporate social responsibility. The article determines the methods of evaluation the competitiveness of strategic management. Using multicriteria based model allows to choose the best strategy. With a new measure of «weight of the Year» formula improves evaluation of the competitiveness strategy of the hockey club.

This article describes the order of repudiate debts by budgetary institutions in a competitive environment, including the problematic issues of determining the beginning of the period of limitation, possible cases of limitation period. The author proposes measures to improve the organization and accounting of write-offs of debts with expired limitation period in view of the competitive environment.

The article is about the socio-psychological reasons of personal competitiveness of the entrepreneur. Through analysis of the phenomenon of entrepreneurship and creative entrepreneur function, as well as through the interpretation of case studies of entrepreneurial activity, determined that the basis of personal competitiveness entrepreneur is the ability to adaptively transforming behavior — simultaneous combination of plastic adaptability to the changing socio-economic reality with active and transformative effects on.

Letter to the Editor

This letter to the editor — a comment on an article of the U. V. Taranukha «On the question of universality, or a unified theory of competition» («Modern competition», 2010, № 6). It is shown that there is no «universal» definition of the term «competition», suitable for all tasks associated with this concept. It is shown that «a system analysis to competition,» proposed in the article, Y. V. Taranukha does not meet the principles of a system analysis to the interpretation of Stanford Optner–Nikanorov.

Regional competition and competitiveness

The paper considers the concept of competitiveness of the tourist product, and features of formation of tourist destination as part of the tourism system. The article analyzes using the term «tourist destination» in Russian and foreign scientific literature, and concludes, how through the using of client-oriented approach to improve the competitiveness of tourist region as a tourist destination.

The article describes the economic-mathematical model proposed by the authors to determine the regional competitiveness. This paper reveals the main stages of its construction, and provides justification for the uniqueness of this technique.
