Transnational banking: its prospects in RussiaGlobalization has affected banks' operations of all the countries of the world. The US real estate crisis quickly turned into a mortgage crisis, then into a loan and credit crisis, then into a liquidity crisis and then it quickly spread all over the world. It clearly proves that the modern economies are highly dependent on the transnational banks' operations. This is why a theoretical analysis of the transnational banks' nature and their operational character¬istics is a topical issue. The article's goal is to analyze the role the transnational banks are playing in the world economic processes and in the economic processes going on in Russia, in particular. The other objective is to identify the way the Russian banking sector should use to become inte-grated into the world business community.

Competitive capacity of Russian enterprises in the process of their internationalization: current state, issues, and perspectivesThe process of economic globalization makes Russian enterprises not only exist in a tough competitive environment in the domestic as well as in the international markets, but also opens wide perspectives in front of the most effective of them. The practical activity of Russian companies in the sphere of their internationalization has extended in the recent ten years. Nevertheless the financial crisis revealed the ineffective character of strategies in those national companies (for the most part raw materials companies) which operate in foreign markets, thus it once again proved the existence of negative characteristics in the present day Russian economy. In order to achieve the specified objective the author carries out SWOT analysis and determines strong and week points of Russian intermediaries in international business as well as opportunities and threats for the development of intermediation in Russia. Conclusions made by the author are illustrated by examples of Russian intermediaries’ activity in the sphere of international business.
