The theory of competition

The problem of improving the competitiveness of economies in post-war Europe was to find ways of combining the integration of various aspects of their life. The efficiency of this process was to overcome national legal conflicts of the Member States of European integration, maximizing the use of competitive advantages of their legal systems, which eventually led to the creation of a unique legal system committed the European Communities.

Competitive Strategies and Tactics

The article describes new methods of design and implementation of competitive strategies, allowing for manufacturers of goods and services not only to avoid the direct market competition, but also to bring the satisfaction of consumer needs to a new level. Starting from the classical I. Ansoff and M. Porter approaches to corporate and competitive strategies, author on example of professional massage oils industry concludes that using of innovative tools, known as «blue ocean strategy», proposed by W. Chan Kim and R. Moborn, — one of the few ways to output product from competition, because it might make product so different from the existing market, that competition with it will be meaningless.

The issue analyzes and shows the necessity of government intervention in construction and operation of the competitive environment. This article considers how the concept of collective dominance was used in Russia in 2006 – 2011. The information base for analysis includes the decisions of Federal antimonopoly service of Russia, where the norm of collective dominance was applied. The article includes the analysis to which extent the characteristics of market structures that are required by the law were used, which types of accusations were brought against companies by means of determining of their collective dominant position, what is the court practice of considering decisions where concept of collective dominance was applied.

The article deals with the oligopolistic structure of the banking market. Identified specific of oligopolistic banking market in Russia, was the result of banking-sector support from the state. It was noted that integration of banking business change the market structure of these industries in oligopoly. This affects on transaction costs on the banking market. The author marks that, in the oligopolistic market the rent-seeking behavior of the largest banks can only be changed through the stimulation of competition between them.

This integrated indicator reflects tax incomes on all types of tax and allows estimating economic activity of the population in these subjects. The analysis of an index values from 2006 to 2009 have shown that distribution of an offered indicator aspires to the normal law of distribution.
