With the development of market relations in the commodity markets in the fight for better positions between entities frequently observed behavior, named in the Act on Protection of Competition as a concerted action. At the same Act defines a ban on concerted actions of economic entitiescompetitors, but does not give answers to a number of important issues related to research methodology as a concerted action, and their differences from the parallel conduct of tacit collusion. This article is devoted to solving a number of methodological issues that arise in practical work in the investigation and proof of the agreed actions.

The paper analyzes the regulations and practice in sphere of suppression of unfair competition with the use of trademarks registered in the USSR. The authors note that issues of functioning of the «Soviet of trade marks» in need of legal assessment and elaboration of mechanisms for regulation, without excluding the development of new marketing technologies, built into the mechanisms of fair competitive struggle.

Economic modernization as a factor of Russia’s competitiveness
Technological backlog of the Russian economy from economically developed countries provokes decrease in the key indicators which show level of Russia’s economic development, and interferes with strengthening of competitive positions of our country in a system of the international division of labor. The characteristic of innovative activity of the Russian Economy is given in current paper, the main issues of economic modernization as a base of innovative breakthrough are mentioned. Besides, the paper includes an author’s attention to a question of the state participation in investment of innovations.
