From Small to Large Business

The article reveals the psychological characteristics of entrepreneurship depending on the size of the business, and emphasizes the importance of studying the psychological aspects of entrepreneurial activity. The author emphasizes that the formal difference between small, medium and large businesses is often misinterpreted, including when developing programs and measures to support and develop entrepreneurship. The author proves that the formally understood difference between small, medium and large businesses is very different from the understanding of the difference between small, medium and large businesses from the point of view of the psychology of entrepreneurship and the motivation of entrepreneurs to develop a business. The article substantiates the importance of a comprehensive understanding of the differences between small and medium businesses. The paper substantiates that information about the size of the business plays an important role in understanding the psychology of the entrepreneur and the motives for business growth. The paper reveals new evidence of the importance of the entrepreneur for Russia. The author reveals the factors influencing the reserves for the development of entrepreneurship in the Russian Federation. Who is Who: Entrepreneurs’ Personality Types

The article focuses on a new approach to personality typology of people engaged in entrepreneurial activity. The sets of stable character manifestations and peculiar behavioral characteristics, inherent in four types of entrepreneur personality “a creative”, “an entrepreneur”, “a manager” and “an owner” are provided. The author introduces a strong correlation between the ability of entrepreneurs to generate new ideas, create, manage, own and run their business and a particular type of personality manifestation. The author claims all people engaged in economic activities to be entrepreneurs by definition. However, the diversity of entrepreneurial success suggests that this mass is far from homogeneous. Entrepreneurs differ significantly within their environment. The article substantiates the importance of differentiating the entrepreneur’s personality type according to the system proposed by the author, provides a detailed description of four personality types and their fundamental differences. The author emphasizes the existence of a certain set of personality characteristics that ensure the entrepreneurial activity success. The paper reveals a conceptual system of entrepreneurs’ differentiation by predominant personality type and aspects that allow to define it. This article will help “people of business” to self-identify – to determine a leading personality type, which will allow them to consciously manage their professional development. Entrepreneurial Functions in the Context of Training Professional Entrepreneurs

The article presents the author’s justification for the need for professional entrepreneurial education. It is revealed that the legitimacy of entrepreneurship as a science and education requires terminology adequate to this area. It is proven that entrepreneurship is a professional activity based on special knowledge, skills and abilities that can be formed in the learning process. Specific entrepreneurial functions are defined, in which managerial functions, contrary to popular belief, are far from being the main ones. Based on the analysis of theoretical approaches to identifying entrepreneurial functions, controversial aspects of their formulation are identified and the author’s entrepreneurial cycle, including the functions and competencies of an entrepreneur, is substantiated. The opinions of scientists studying professional entrepreneurial education are given. The formulation of the functions and competencies of entrepreneurs in the interpretation of various authors is studied. The author’s formulation of entrepreneurial functions and competencies is substantiated. The work has theoretical significance, since it contributes to the theory of entrepreneurship. Practical significance is based on the possibility of using the author’s entrepreneurial cycle in the construction of educational programs for training entrepreneurs. Read more...
