The relationship between the competitiveness of enterprise and the competitiveness of its products

The article explores the relationship between the level of competitiveness of enterprises and competitiveness of its products. Hierarchy is considered the concept of «competitiveness». The author shows the differences between the company’s competitiveness and the competitiveness of its products. The article presents a conceptual model of the «Pyramid of competitiveness of enterprises », which, by establishing the relationship between management, the sources of competitiveness, core competencies and competitive advantages, illustrates the ontogenesis of the formation of the competitiveness of enterprises. According to the presented model the competitiveness of a company is formed as a result of targeted impacts management of the company at the sources of competitiveness in the execution of tasks on the tactical and strategic management. Depending on its configuration, the sources of competitiveness increase the value of management actions, results in developing the core competencies of a business entity. Core competencies of the enterprise are formed as a result of consolidation of the company’s resources, technology and skills, the core competitiveness of the economic entity is the ability to apply the configuration of various assets, to combine resources with knowledge. The process of forming the competitiveness of enterprises chronologically and logically flows from management to competitive advantages. Thus, the competitiveness of products is a consequence of the competitiveness of the enterprise. The article shows the practical implications of the proposed conceptual model, consisting of the inefficiency of the concentration of company resources exclusively on maximizing the competitiveness of products.

Evaluation of the competitiveness of the largest Russian companies by the end of 2015

The article assesses the competitive status of the leading Russian companies in the first half of 2015 with the aim of identifying the most competitive companies in the context of macroeconomic instability. The authors have shown that a lack of relevance and the imperfection of applied methods of ranking enables you to use existing ratings to assess the current competitiveness of economic entities. Due to conclude that assessment of the impact of recessionary phenomena in the economy on the performance of the largest domestic companies may be made only by applying specific estimation methods of competitiveness of enterprises. Analyzed the main methods for assessing the competitiveness of enterprises, identified their strengths and weaknesses. The authors proved that for rapid assessment of the competitive status of many business entities is the most appropriate application of the dynamic evaluation method of enterprise competitiveness. Set out the main provisions of the dynamic approach to the assessment of the competitive-ness of enterprises, the mathematical apparatus and algorithm analysis, describes the theoretical and methodological principles underlying the dynamic approach. The methodological and methodical advantages of the dynamic approach compared to traditional methods of assessing the competitive-ness of enterprises. Discusses practical aspects of assessment and analysis of competitiveness of enterprises based on a dynamic method. The calculations of the competitiveness of the largest companies in Russia by the end of 2015. Revealed company with the highest and lowest level of competitiveness. The analysis of competitiveness by industry. Identified leading companies in each industry group. It is shown that unlike traditional ratings, which, as a rule, are based on only one indicator (usually revenue or capitalization of the entity taken as one accounting period), the ranking of companies with the use of the dynamic approach is a more accurate tool for assessing their competitiveness. In conclusion, the authors determined the directions of further research on the subject.

Comparative evaluation of the competitiveness of companies in the private and public sector of economy of the Russian Federation

The paper deals with the competitiveness of the largest companies of the Russian Federation with the aim of evaluation the efficiency of economic activity both public and private companies. It is shown that the most relevant method for evaluating the competitive status of a business entities is a dynamic method of assessing the competitiveness. Outlined its basic principles and the mathematical apparatus. Described in detail the methodology for the collection and preparation of information for assessing the competitiveness of enterprises dynamic method. The calculations for evaluating the competitiveness of the largest companies in the Russian Federation by the end of 2016. The analysis of competitiveness by industry, noted the competitive advantages and disadvantages of their member companies. In the calculations they provide an analytical interpretation of the results in the context of comparative analysis of the efficiency of the public and private sectors of the russian economy. The author has shown that in modern Russian conditions, private companies are not always more competitive than the state, on what basis it is concluded that premature privatization of state assets could lead to the reduction of the domestic national product and the loss of competitiveness of Russian assets in the international arena. In conclusion, the authors defined the directions for further research on the subject.
