Foreign market entry for russian smes: integrative approachWhat factors play a crucial role in the decision making of Russian firms about foreign market entry? The search for an answer to this question becomes even more important if we account for SMEs whose capabilities are substantially limited compared to large companies. We used the unique data set of Russian SMEs in our study. Based on the logistic regression analysis, the results indicated that while competitive hostility and resource availability positively influenced SMEs internationalization, institutional heterogeneity had a negative impact on its likelihood. The effect of Universities on students' entrepreneurial intentions: the context of RussiaSeveral studies have clearly demonstrated that entrepreneurial intentions are strongly influenced by education. What is more important, entrepreneurial intentions predict the actual entrepreneurial behavior. Thus, it is reasonable to believe that by stimulating intentions we encourage entrepreneur-ship. At the same time, universities play rather ambiguous and fragmented role in entrepreneurship, especially in Russian context. Further investigation is needed. The present research examines the impact of universities on the entrepreneurial intentions of Russian students. Using a sample of 2504 students from the GUESSS study, entrepreneurial intentions are found to be significantly associated with multiple components of the university entrepreneurial portfolio. The results of this study help better understand the structure of entrepreneurial portfolios of universities and its impact on the intentions. A greater emphasis on entrepreneurship in all universities may help balance the current individual initiatives and develop proactively a more relevant and comprehensive strategy.
